Recognizing Pennsylvania Black Art/Artists

As part of its mission to foster community both within and outside of the University setting, the IAH regularly partners with other centers and institutes at Penn State. The ongoing collaboration with the Africana Research Center, “In Pursuit of Social Justice: Recognizing Pennsylvania Black Art/Artists,” has resulted in a number of high profile events, lectures and exhibitions, including a performance by the McCoy Tyner Jazz Trio (April 2004) and the August Wilson Play Festival (April 2005).
